Inadequate Insulation

In some homes, insulation is not adequate, or has not been installed while the home is being built. Sometimes existing insulation becomes damaged through moisture or insects and vermin.

In larger homes with high ceilings, insulating with traditional methods require a lot of insulation material, including meters of polymer added in order for the insulation to remain in place.

The Challenge

Requires Drying Time

Spray On cellulose insulation is wet applied to allow it to adhere to the walls and ceilings and needs time to dry before being enclosed in the building cavity.

This is a job for the professionals as it requires expertise and specialized equipment. The process is exact and all steps must be done in order to achieve effective insulation.

The Result

Increased Thermal Values

Thermal images are taken to measure how effective the insulation is in the closed wall cavity. The thermal image shows the difference between unfilled cavities (SP1) and the insulated cavity(SP2). Only minutes after adding the cellulose fibre insulation, there is already greater than 1° Celsius difference in temperature.
